Description

In the very centre of the Peak district. Built in the early 1860s by Irish Navvies to connect Bakewell, Buxton, and the industrial mills in between by rail.
A popular viewing point in the peak district is Monsal Head, which happens to be hidden just behind the viaduct. Few people can be bothered to descend onto the viaduct, and fewer still to the bottom of the dale.
